Nose
Fine aromas of ripe red and black fruits with hints of oak.
Palate
Good body, silky tannins, a lot of freshness. Its aging in barrels gives it complexity and great elegance.
Growing Conditions
Own vineyard located in Gualtallary, Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Mendoza, at 1,800 meters (5910 feet) above sea level, at the foot of the Andes Mountains.
Low Trellis conduction system and furrow irrigation.
Yield: 50 qq (5000 Kilos)/ha
Harvest
Manual harvest at the end of March.
Winemaking
Great agronomic job to obtain healthy grapes and of excellent oenological maturity, carefully choosing the grape bunches and sending them in boxes to the winery. After the removal of the stalks, the whole grapes are sent to small stainless steel tanks. Addition of selected yeasts and temperature control between 28 and 30 ºC. Maceration time with grape skins: 28 days. Natural malolactic fermentation. Racking to remove coarse lees and aging in oak barrels.
Aging
18 months in French oak barrels.
Appearance
Intense and deep purple color.
