Nose

It expresses a great herbal character with notes of red fruits. This imbues a fresh acidity and encourages a perfumed, violet, floral character that together bring a sense of lightness to a wine despite its weight.

Palate

In the mouth is long and with a distinctive mineral texture. A wine of great structure and acidity. The floral accent carries through to a good long finish that is accompanied by a savoury, flinty edge and a pinch of chalky tannins, completing a style that is a long way from the ripe, sweet-black-fruit-and-vanilla bombs of old.
