Growing Conditions
2009 vintage was marked by a very criterious vineyard management in terms of irrigation. With a very dry summer during January – May and moderate temperatures and sunny days, it presented excellent conditions of sanitary health in vineyards. Grapes sourced from the first zones of Lujan de Cuyo and Maipú had slightly lower yields, higher aromatic complexity, ripe tannins and firm structure. 2009 is considered by many winemakers as one of the very best vintages of the decade, and it’s excellence is reflected in our Cavas de Weinert – Cask Selection with one of the very best wines we have produced of our flagship blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
