Nose

The glass fills with ripe red berry fruit and cassis notes as well as a backing track of black pepper and tobacco.

Palate

A full and round mouth with lots of red fruit notes, smooth tannins. A very pleasant aftertaste lingers at the end showing its elegance and varietal expression.

Growing Conditions

Very rocky soil with clay and marl in its composition.

Winemaking

Grapes are harvested and sorted carefully by hand. Aged in new French oak barrels for 19 months.

Food Pairing

Roasted chicken or pork, beef burgers and stews, goat cheese, camembert, lentils, mushroom, tomatoes, and eggplant.
