Nose
Black cherry, lots of red bramble fruit and plum on the nose, spice lurks underneath but there is also a trademark violet nose reminding you that this is prime Uco Valley Malbec.
Palate
A lush and long mouth with all the concentration and aromatics designed to last many years in the cellar but also has plenty of charm and intrigue to drink today.
Growing Conditions
Very rocky soil with clay and marl in its composition.
Winemaking
Grapes harvested and sorted by hand. Unlike traditional fermentation in steel tanks, this wine has been fermented in oak barrels for especially rich flavours and robust integration. The wine is then aged in new French oak for 18 months.
Appearance
Deep violet in color.
Food Pairing
Lean red meats, roast pork, lamb, burgers, charcuterie, strong cheeses, mushrooms, or roasted red peppers.
