Nose

The nose is elegant with floral aromas of violet and roses and red dark berries.

Palate

An unusual blend for Argentina combining 2 extraordinary varietals. Well balanced with a great structure, soft tannins and nicely integrated oak.

Growing Conditions

Low-yield plot, located on a terrace very close to the Hills on sandy soils and stony subsoil. The vines grown in the foothills of mountain ranges, more at 1,450m above sea level.

The Malbec vines are 45 years old and the Touriga Nacional vines are 8 years old.

Harvest

The grapes are harvested throughout April by hand into small trays of 20kg to prevent damage and then meticulously sorted in order to select the best grapes for this wine.

Winemaking

Bunch selection. Cold maceration during 4 days at 10°C (50°F). Selected yeasts. Delestages and pumpovers three times a day. Extended maceration for 25 days at 28°C (82°F). Malolactic fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks. Dark red with violet shiny tones. An unusual blend for Argentina combining 2 extraordinary varietals. A collaboration between Hervé Joyaux Fabre and another award-winning winemaker and friend Rui Reguinga, this wine is powerful but elegant with a rich, complex palate of blackcurrant and plum flavours.

Aging

60% in French oak for 12 months
