The Lurton brothers started making wine in Argentina as far back as 1992 as consultants to Nicolas Catena. They soon recognized the potential for making a ‘Grand Cru’ wine in Argentina and in 1996 made the first wine of this style with complexity, structure and ageing potential from Cabernet Sauvignon. It went on to win a gold medal at the International Wine Challenge in London.
