A brief history
In 1989, Dr. José Zarhi Troy, a prestigious plastic surgeon and a great wine connoisseur, began his viticultural endeavor by implanting the first Chardonnay vines in his estate of “Santa Cruz de Coya” in the Alto Cachapoal valley, Chile, at 1000 meters above sea level. Then came the introduction of other varietals, the winery and some of the best wines that Chile produces today. At the end of 2018, seeking to expand his product portfolio and continue developing his passion for great wines, he decided to venture into Mendoza and partnered with Mr. Fernando Rodríguez Merino, an entrepreneur from Mendoza who left information systems to dedicate himself to the development of Wine, hotel and gastronomic projects since 2007, giving rise to an alliance that culminates in the acquisition of a farm in one of the best wine-growing areas in Argentina, Los Árboles de Villegas in Tunuyán, in the heart of the Uco Valley, at 1,250 msnm.
