A brief history
Bodega Benegas is a small winery devoted exclusively to the production of high end wines. The quality of these wines are based in the excellent terroir of the two owned vineyards. One of them, Finca Libertad, belonged in the past to the Benegas family and was rebought by Federico Benegas Lynch in 1999. This vineyard has very old vines that age from 60 to 120 years, with vines of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Sangiovese, Syrah, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Federico Benegas inherited a passion for distinguished winemaking that shows in the elegance of its wines. The second vineyard is La Encerrada in Gualtallary district in Tupungato, Uco Valley. This is the vineyard where Benegas grows its excellent malbec at 1450mts above the sea level. The winery is located in Lujan de Cuyo, 20 minutes away from Mendoza city.
